Talking through the financial management of my business with someone who shares values but also can help me learn how to think and talk about financial systems was really helpful.
I have suggested [Jillian] to several people and explained several times that the combination of financial knowledge plus exceptional coaching skills is both personally and financially useful, and really helps increase people's sense of self-efficacy.”

Can I just pay someone to do this for me?
Yes, you can! But there’s a ton of value in knowing how to do it yourself.
Knowing your numbers is knowing your business. When you understand how your bookkeeping is done yourself, you can make more informed decisions as a business owner—even if you do end up outsourcing QuickBooks management.
Plus, if that bookkeeper or accountant can no longer work with you at some point, you won’t be left hanging.
What's the real risk of messy books?
There are a few risks. For one, the longer it takes you to clean up your books, the more likely you are to pay your taxes late, which comes with fees…
The other big thing is you could end up paying more taxes than you should. If you miss expenses because your books aren’t in order, you won’t write those expenses off.
On the flip side, you could miss on reporting income. If you don’t accurately record your profits, you can’t accurately track your business’s progress. Not to mention, you could end up stumbling into a sticky auditing situation.
Who shouldn’t use Quickbooks?
What if I’m not a numbers person or I hate talking about money?
Then you sound like many of the creatives I support! I know money can be freaky. My ultimate goal is to guide you through it so you feel comfortable, informed, and in control. We’ll work on getting comfy with your numbers so you can make more of a profit with your creativity.
