How do I make my tax bill as low as possible?
What can I reasonably write off? How much is too much or too little?
Am I saving enough, or will I be surprised at the end of the year?
I haven’t logged into QuickBooks for MONTHS. Am I screwed?
What happens if I get audited? Will I go to jail?
I’m not a numbers person…should I even try to understand taxes?
Don’t I just save 30% of my income? (This can actually backfire because you’re probably oversaving when you could use that money in a better way)
A 2-hour workshop to get your tax sh*t together—so you can save money with minimal headaches.
And zero money shame.

That’s what this workshop is about.

I'll Be There!!
Hear me out. November is an excellent time to figure out your taxes. You have the majority of your numbers for the year, but you also have time to make changes before they’re due.
If you’re expecting a big tax bill, you have a month to implement deductions. You can still invest in things you’ve had your eye on to bring your bill down.
Or, if you still need to save up for taxes, you’ll have 5 months to do so.
If you wait until January, it’s usually too late. And way more stressful.
Tax strategy works best when you give yourself time!

“Finances have always been a murky area for me. From the moment I connected with [Jillian], I felt like I had a partner to guide me through the process.”
“That was extremely comforting because I was really overwhelmed and ashamed. I felt like I was navigating in the dark and there was a lot of fear associated with finances.
It was a sense of relief having someone there to help me. I appreciated how reassuring you were and how you removed the stigma.”
— Jillian K, Creative Consultant and Designer
Will you help me file my taxes?
No, this workshop focuses on calculating how much you’ll owe in taxes, saving for them, and reducing your bill. I’ll send my list of recommended tax accountants in case you want help filing afterwards. You’ll be well-equipped to work with a tax accountant after this if you want to!
What if my income is sporadic?
That’s all good! This workshop will help you plan ahead and adjust over time.
If you have unpredictable income, the best thing to do is calculate it based on what you know so far for the year. Then, you can update as you go. For example, once you have more information in November, you can just update the spreadsheet I provide to get it more and more accurate.
Don’t I just save 30% of my income for taxes?
What if I’m not a numbers person or I hate talking about money?
Then you sound like many of the creatives I support! I know money can be freaky. My ultimate goal is to guide you through it so you feel comfortable, informed, and in control. We’ll work on getting comfy with your numbers so you can make more of a profit with your creativity.
